Edifici La Rotonda

Edifici La Rotonda: Barcelona's Modernisme Chronicle.

At the junction of Avenida Tibidabo and Passeig de Sant Gervasi, Edifici La Rotonda stands as a testament to Barcelona's Modernisme. Designed in 1906 by Adolf Ruiz i Casamitjana for Dr. Salvador Andreu, this building, also known as Torre Andreu, is notable for its circular temple topped with a dome. Its facades boast intricate glazed ceramics, mosaics, and floral and figural motifs. From a luxurious Metropolitan Hotel to a clinic, and now office space, its presence has shaped the urban evolution of the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district, a visual and cultural landmark on the Modernisme route.
