Palau Robert hosts "Un teatre lliure", an exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of Teatre Lliure. Curated by Tània Balló, the show moves away from conventional formats to offer a contemporary look at the trajectory of this stage institution. Five installations by scenographers linked to the Lliure reinterpret its history, from its early cooperative roots to its consolidation as a public service. The route is structured around five installations and four 'intermission' spaces exploring concepts like community, identity, space, and audience. It includes archival photographs, the theatre's graphic memory, and a tour of its venues. Guided tours by Juan Carlos Olivares are held on Fridays at 12h, by prior registration.

Palau Robert
Neoclassical gem in the modernist beat.
Built between 1898 and 1903 on Passeig de Gràcia, Palau Robert stands as a neoclassical counterpoint amidst the modernist fabric of the Eixample. Originally the residence of the influential Robert Robert i Surís, its architecture, conceived by Henri Grandpierre and Joan Martorell, features Montgrí stone, creating a sober impression. Since 1981, it operates as a cultural hub for the Generalitat de Catalunya, hosting exhibitions, a concert space, and the Centre d'Informació de Catalunya. Its gardens, designed by Ramon Oliva with palms from the 1888 Universal Exposition, offer a public urban oasis.
