Poble Espanyol on Montjuïc hosts a series of talks dissecting its history and architectural significance. Held within the Poble-sec venue itself, the event invites a rediscovery of the space beyond its tourist facade. Two expert panel discussions will cover its origins, its link to the 1929 International Exposition, and its construction evolution to the present day, framing its relevance for the 1929 centenary. Entry is free. The initiative is part of the 'Horitzó 2029' strategy for preserving its cultural memory.

THE VENUE
Conceived for Barcelona's 1929 International Exposition, Poble Espanyol evolved from a temporary concept into a permanent open-air architectural museum in Montjuïc. Its 117 buildings recreate Spain's architectural diversity, from Andalusian alleys to Catalan Romanesque monasteries. The site also features live artisan workshops and the Fran Daurel Museum, with works by Picasso, Dalí, and Miró. A condensed journey through the peninsula's cultural richness.
