Can Felipa: Industrial footprint, vibrant cultural scene in Poblenou.
In Poblenou, Can Felipa stands as an industrial relic. Founded in 1856 as a textile factory, its architecture boasts a French Beaux-Arts style—rare in the industrial landscape—with wide windows and a mansard roof. After closing in 1978, the former Catex was transformed, thanks to community efforts, into a civic and sports center in 1991. Today, it's a cultural hub, home to the Poblenou Historical Archive and host to performing and visual arts programs.
