Fàbrica de Creació Ateneu Popular 9 Barris
Industrial archaeology, circus spirit in Nou Barris.
In Trinitat Nova, the Fàbrica de Creació Ateneu Popular 9 Barris stands as a testament to urban transformation. Once an asphalt plant, the space was reclaimed by the neighborhood in 1977, reimagined as a community-run socio-cultural hub. Its distinctive longitudinal nave, enhanced with later architectural additions like a stage box, now pulsates with a dynamic program of circus and paratheatrical arts. A cultural stronghold in Nou Barris, it champions participation, critical thought, and accessibility.
