Palau Robert traces the career of Apel·les Fenosa, from his formative years near the Sagrada Família to his exile in France. The exhibition brings together sculptures, biographical documentation, and monumental pieces that connect the artist to the 20th-century historical landscape of Barcelona and El Vendrell.

Palau Robert
Neoclassical gem in the modernist beat.
Built between 1898 and 1903 on Passeig de Gràcia, Palau Robert stands as a neoclassical counterpoint amidst the modernist fabric of the Eixample. Originally the residence of the influential Robert Robert i Surís, its architecture, conceived by Henri Grandpierre and Joan Martorell, features Montgrí stone, creating a sober impression. Since 1981, it operates as a cultural hub for the Generalitat de Catalunya, hosting exhibitions, a concert space, and the Centre d'Informació de Catalunya. Its gardens, designed by Ramon Oliva with palms from the 1888 Universal Exposition, offer a public urban oasis.
