//A journey through Aurèlia Muñoz's work. Ens. This proposal charts a course through the trajectory of Aurèlia Muñoz, an essential figure for understanding contemporary textile art. The exhibition presents her early surrealist and gothic collages, alongside large pictorial embroideries. It is completed with an unprecedented selection of macramé structures from European and American collections. //From fiber to post-industrial crisis. The emblematic star-sculptures and handmade paper installations are central pieces. Muñoz transcended weaving, fiber, or craftsmanship, combining ancestral techniques and contemporary resources. Her work dialogues with post-industrial crises, addressing the impact on terrestrial, aquatic, and aerial ecosystems. //A legacy in Barcelona. Aurèlia Muñoz. Ens covers over fifty years of multifaceted practice. Organized by MACBA and the Museo Reina Sofía, with the support of einaidea and the Arxiu Aurèlia Muñoz. An interdisciplinary scientific committee accompanies the exhibition, featuring a catalog with contributions from authors such as Melody Jue and Ana Ramo.
