This exhibition dissects Avinguda Gaudí’s living legacy. More than a bridge connecting Sagrada Família and Sant Pau, the show unveils its soul. From Antoni Gaudí’s universal creation, inspired by its neighbors and workers, to Lluís Domènech i Montaner’s healing vision at Hospital de Sant Pau, where light and design offer therapy. Two modernist gems. A singular axis breathing history, community, and hope.

Sant Pau Recinte Modernista
Modernist Legacy, Knowledge Campus.
In the Guinardó neighborhood, the Sant Pau Recinte Modernista stands as a fundamental architectural complex by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Built between 1902 and 1930, it was conceived as a hospital garden-city, pioneering hygienist theories and patient well-being. This complex, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997, features 27 pavilions interconnected by underground tunnels and surrounded by gardens. The profusion of ceramics, stained glass, and mosaics narrates its history and the vision of its creator. After a century of healthcare activity, its rehabilitated pavilions now house a vibrant research and culture campus, home to various international organizations and a space open to the public.
