Trio Orfeu plays Bach's Goldberg Variations at the Centre Cívic Guinardó in the Guinardó neighborhood this Friday at 7 PM. Entry is free. The work, originally titled 'Aria with Divers Variations', is a key keyboard piece by J. S. Bach from 1742. According to Forkel's biography of Bach, Count Kaiserling commissioned it to entertain his insomniac harpsichordist. The concert will intersperse formal explanations of this emblematic piece.
