Barcelona is an architectural city: defined by unique buildings, by the preservation of centuries-old heritage, by the drive for accessible public spaces. UNESCO-UIA names it World Capital of Architecture for 2026. A recognition that includes hosting the World Congress of Architects. After decades of evolution, the urban model is renewed: architecture aims to be part of the solution for economic, social, environmental sustainability challenges. From dense urban planning, limited resources, and a Mediterranean climate, the city reinterprets its role. This Capital designation will unfold activities across Barcelona's ten districts, spanning ten months, from February to December. A collective, diverse program for general, professional, and educational audiences. We open the call for entities, institutions, and individuals. Offering spaces means activating heritage, integrating exhibitions, debates, workshops, screenings. The registration period runs from January 8th to February 28th.
