Contemporary architecture redefines its role facing climate, heritage, and human health. Barcelona, World Capital of Architecture 2026, functions as an urban laboratory, challenge, and prototype. This exhibition traces a reading of the city through three axes: the diversity defining its inhabitants, the intensity of its community life, and the complexity of emerging relationships. The result is an observation of Barcelona not as a static image, but as a sequence in constant motion, in an exercise of self-questioning and reinvention. A proposal to envision a more just, sustainable, and collective urban future. Curated by Pau de Solà-Morales, Andreu Domingo, Eulàlia Gómez, Francesc Muñoz. Exhibition design by Domestic Data Streamers.

THE VENUE
In the heart of Nova Esquerra de l'Eixample, the Former Gustavo Gili Publishing House stands as a landmark of Catalan rationalism. Designed between 1954 and 1960 by Joaquim Gili and Francesc Bassó, this FAD Award-winning building (1961) was the epicenter of a publishing house that shaped visual culture, introducing key figures in art and architecture. Its functional design, defined by natural light and a lack of ornamentation, creates a space that, since 2021, the Barcelona City Council is transforming into the Casa de la Arquitectura, solidifying its legacy as a cultural and educational hub.
