The proposal begins April 17, 19:00h, with Martí Ruiz and Jordi Casadevall from Taller d'Escultura Sonora Baschet, alongside Jordi Alomar, director of the Museu de la Música. A live musical intervention with a Baschet multitimbric sculpture accompanies the presentation. The Museu de la Música hosts an editorial selection focused on Bernard and François Baschet. From the 1950s, these artists and inventors conceived a new acoustics: sound sculptures. Pieces built with stainless steel, aluminum, cardboard, inflatable cushions. Instruments that generate complex, unusual timbres, without electricity. Their work merges art, science, intuition. A research method on form, matter, and sound. Exploration, play, direct participation define an open concept of the musical experience. Resonant utopias inviting new listening, new interactions. The Baschet legacy has been featured in international museums, applied in educational and social spaces. The Museu de la Música safeguards three of these pieces. The Taller d'Escultura Sonora Baschet at UB continues this line of creation. In parallel, the Foyer de la Sala 1 exhibits the monumental Lingby sculpture. Visible during concert hours until June 14.
