The venue

Palau de Mar
Port warehouse. A city's historical narrative.
Erected in Plaça Pau Vila as the former Magatzems Generals de Dipòsit in the late 19th century, the Palau de Mar stands as a testament to Barcelona's industrial port architecture. Its exposed brick structure and symmetrical lines, designed by Maurici Garrán and inspired by English docks, defined the Port Vell. Revitalized pre-Olympics, this monument – the only one of the old industrial port still standing – preserves its maritime legacy while housing the Museu d'Història de Catalunya and innovation hubs, charting Barceloneta's urban and cultural evolution.
