Fifteen figures, Catalan mythology from Joan de l'Os to the Serpent.

Catalan folklore, long in the background, now serves as a creative engine. Contemporary authors find inspiration in its oral tales, reinterpreting a vast imaginary. This Festival 42 proposal showcases fifteen popular figures: Joan de l'Os echoing American superheroes, the Serpent connecting with Eastern fantasy, and constellation swords evoking the Arthurian cycle. An editorial selection curated by Laia Baldevey, an expert in translating this mythology into visuals, including works like Mitologia dels Països Catalans. Material from the bestiari català is also included, provided by popular culture organizations.
