Passeig de Gràcia ignites with fire and gunpowder for the Ceptrotada i Correfoc de la Mercè. This popular culture event kicks off the correfoc with a collective lighting of ceptrots (fire poles) and banners, followed by the opening of a new Porta de l'Infern (Hell's Gate) from which fire beasts and devils emerge. Experience this tradition as it transforms the avenue into a spectacle of sparks and explosions. Be cautious: wear cotton clothing, closed-toe shoes, and protect your eyes and ears. The celebration takes place in the Dreta de l'Eixample this Saturday at 20:30 and is free.
