For years, Catalan mythology remained in the background, overshadowed by Nordic or Celtic narratives. Yet, its richness is undeniable. This exhibition, the central focus of Festival 42, revives fifteen figures deeply rooted in folklore: from Joan de l'Os, akin to the superhero archetype, to Serpent legends echoing anime sagas, or constellations of swords connecting to the Arthurian Cycle. The proposal is a cartography of the imaginary, where material from the festive and popular bestiary meets illustrations by Laia Baldevey, curator and expert in depicting these universes. Her previous work includes 'Mitologia dels Països Catalans' and 'Mitologia de la muntanya de Montserrat'. An essential revision of the territory's foundational narrative.
