THE VENUE
La Lleialtat Santsenca, nestled in the heart of Sants, tells an unbroken civic story. Founded as a consumer cooperative in 1891, its 1928 headquarters, designed by architect Josep Alemany i Juvé, quickly became a local landmark. After decades of diverse uses —from a nougat factory to the iconic Bahía dance hall— the building was reclaimed by neighborhood initiative. H Arquitectes' subsequent renovation, lauded with awards like the Ciutat de Barcelona 2017, features a central atrium inspired by Lina Bo Bardi. This space, with passive climate control, masterfully blends its working-class heritage with functional modernity, solidifying its role as a hub for culture and cooperation.
