Cactus de ganxet is an artisanal display organized by the Casal de Gent Gran Can Peguera. The project, led by Lola, brings together a collection of cactus-shaped pieces crafted using crochet techniques. The work is hosted inside the community center in the Can Peguera neighborhood, offering a look at how domestic craft integrates into the program of a public space.

Can Peguera: A Chronicle of Urban Resistance
In the heart of Nou Barris, Can Peguera stands out as a unique urban enclave. Its distinctive architecture, characterized by single-story 'cheap houses' and small gardens, testifies to early 20th-century social planning. Built from 1929 to house workers from the International Exhibition and those evicted from Montjuïc, these homes represent an urban model almost vanished from Barcelona. Plaça Sant Francesc Xavier, a central hub, was the scene of intense anarchist activity in the 30s, with the church even transforming into a 'People's House'. Today, Can Peguera preserves its working-class identity and protected heritage status, reflecting a community forged in struggle and dignity.
