The Czech Philharmonic, led by Semyon Bychkov, builds a sonic bridge between romanticism and Central European tradition. Behzod Abduraimov performs Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3, a work of dense virtuosity. The evening concludes with selections from Smetana's Ma Vlast –'Vyšehrad', 'The Moldau', and 'Šárka'–, sonic portraits of Bohemian history and geography. A BCN Clàssics co-production.
The Planns tip
Sala 1 Pau Casals features acoustics tuned for piano; avoid the back rows to fully appreciate Abduraimov's technique.
