El carrer de Canet
Carrer de Canet: Worker's Legacy, Neighborhood Heartbeat.
Carrer de Canet, nestled in Sarrià, is a unique remnant of 19th-century Barcelona. Designed by Josep Bosch i Canet, its heart lies in twelve identical ground-floor and first-floor homes, built for the family estate's farmworkers. Rehabilitated by the City Council after almost vanishing, these dwellings now function as a civic and artisan hub, housing local entities and workshops. This pedestrian street, a welcome escape from the bustle of Carrer Major, offers a true urban breather. The impressive Sangrà residence, with its crest and bougainvillea, guards one of its corners, marking Sarrià's historical footprint.
