The Reial Cercle Artístic hosts this edition of the international festival that transforms discarded materials and objects into new forms of expression. For one month, local and international artists exhibit works that reflect on sustainability, activism, and social memory across various spaces in the Barri Gòtic.
The Planns tip

The venue

Reial Cercle Artístic - Institut Barcelonès d'Art
Birthplace of Modernism, artistic dialogue since 1881.
Nestled in the Gothic Quarter, the Reial Cercle Artístic, founded in 1881 by luminaries like Ramon Casas and Joaquim Mir, has always been a cultural powerhouse. Recognized by Alfonso XIII in 1916, it spans Palau Pignatelli and Casa Bassols at C Arcs 5. This architectural gem, boasting 16th-century roots and renovations blending Gothic and Renaissance styles, was instrumental in shaping Catalan Modernism. Dedicated to visual arts, literature, and music, it hosts exhibitions, talks, and workshops, preserving a collection of over 700 works and an extensive archive.
