Entrava llum per les esquerdes — Video, community, and counter-information

A survey of collective creation forms through video, from the seventies to today. The exhibition explores video as a political and social tool, centering on Vídeo-Nou / Servei de Vídeo Comunitari. This Catalan collective from the Transition period used images for self-organization, neighborhood empowerment, and counter-information.

The proposal branches into thematic zones, linking archives, practices, and strategies from national and international collectives, both historical and contemporary. A constellation blurring the lines between art and activism, document and fiction, aesthetics and ethics. The show questions authorship, intellectual property, and individual genius.

The exhibition alludes to the faint yet persistent light emerging from the margins. The screen is presented as a vehicle for narration, presence, and denunciation. A focus on the hidden, on alternative ways of saying and being. Here, information is not a closed product, but a process in motion: conveying experiences, opening questions, sharing knowledge, and building relationships.
