The sonic roots of the Països Catalans emerge in 'Espardenya blanca al peu'. Elderly choirs from Catalunya reinterpret anthems like 'La Balanguera' and 'Baixant de la font del gat', fusing them with ancestral tales such as 'El testament d'Amèlia'. A session vibrating between havanera, sardana, and rumba catalana, inviting collective song and dance. Roger Mas joins Cobla Sant Jordi in an event directed by Montserrat Meneses, Montserrat Roset, Magalí Sala (musical) and Toni Viñals, Fàtima Campos (scenic). Catalunya's living memory.
The Planns tip
Look for the 'Canto de aquí' sign upon entry; the front rows are for the choir.
