THE VENUE
In Raval's industrial heart, at Carrer de l'Aurora 11, stands the Union of Cooperatives for Soup Pasta Manufacturing. Founded in October 1920, this second-degree cooperative was a stronghold of worker solidarity. Its mission, in the vibrant industrial Raval, was to produce pasta for forty consumer cooperatives, battling the proletariat's economic hardships. A vestige of Barcelona's cooperative movement, which, since the 19th century, forged mutual aid as a response to industrial capitalism, deeply shaping the neighborhood's social and productive fabric.
