The venue
Ateneu La Bòbila de Porta
Community reinvention in Porta: architecture at its service.
Nestled in Porta, Nou Barris, Ateneu La Bòbila embodies a profound reconfiguration of Plaça Sóller, an 80s project revitalized by Barrio Peraire Arquitectes. This community-managed cultural hub, spearheaded by Federació Transforma Porta, emerged from a neighborhood effort that transformed an obsolete space. Its architecture, featuring wooden porticos and permeable enclosures, seamlessly integrates with its surroundings. It hosts a diverse program: workshops, performances, and activities ranging from music studios and training to community gatherings, solidifying its role as a cultural axis for the district.
