THE VENUE
Parc de l'Estació del Nord, in Eixample's Fort Pienc, transforms a former railway hub into a contemporary Land Art space. Opened in 1988 on the grounds of a station closed in 1972, the park showcases Beverly Pepper's sculptural intervention. Her work "Cel Caigut" reinterprets Gaudí's trencadís with earthen mounds and blue ceramic mosaics emerging from the lawn, offering a visual and tactile experience. Alongside "Espiral Arbrada," these pieces define a dialogue between nature and sculptural geometry. The imposing Modernista facade of the old station, designed by Demetri Ribes, anchors the ensemble, a reminder of its industrial past. This spot is an urban and cultural meeting point, close to landmarks like L'Auditori.
