Ateneu d'Innovació Digital i Democràtica - Canòdrom
Functional rationalism. Sant Andreu's digital hub.
Nestled in Congrés i els Indians, the Ateneu d'Innovació Digital i Democràtica occupies the former Canòdrom Meridiana, a key work of Catalan rationalism by Antoni Bonet and Josep Puig (1964). Its clean lines and exposed structure, a FAD award winner, hosted greyhound races until 2006. Transformed into an epicenter of digital culture, open technology, and democratic rights, the building, now municipal heritage, revitalizes the Sant Andreu district. The old track is now a public square, forging a space where industrial heritage meets technological and community avant-garde.
