The Universitat de Barcelona, within its Historic Building, revisits the memory of the former School of Architecture. A proposal spanning nearly a century (1872-1962), from Elies Rogent to mid-20th-century movements. The "Intramurs" exhibition focuses on the legacy of key figures like Gaudí, Domènech i Montaner, and Puig i Cadafalch. Their works, the urban context, the evolution of the Eixample are explored. All within the very spaces where they trained. Original documents, plans, photographs. A journey through Barcelona's transformation, an interpretation of the building as a living archive.

THE VENUE
The Universitat de Barcelona's Historic Building, at Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 585, stands as an architectural landmark in l'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample. Designed by Elies Rogent Amat, construction began in 1863, with teaching commencing in 1871. This imposing Neo-Romanesque work, with Gothic and Mudéjar echoes, is built around two Tuscan-inspired cloisters, formerly dedicated to arts and sciences. Its central Assembly Hall forms the symbolic core of academic life. The Ferran Soldevila gardens and a library preserving manuscripts and incunabula complete the complex.
