Opened in 1925, Metro Fontana station stands as a relic of Barcelona's urban evolution. Nestled beneath Carrer Gran de Gràcia, in the heart of Vila de Gràcia, it retains original Art Deco elements. Its curved tiled walls and distinctive exterior facade, coupled with a unique access point within the network, attest to its singularity. Nearly twenty meters deep, it also served as a refuge during the Civil War. It connects with the essence of a neighborhood that was once an independent village, preserving its genuine character.
