Filmoteca de Catalunya dedicates a cycle to Japanese filmmaker Keisuke Kinoshita, a key figure of post-war cinema. Held in El Raval, the cycle presents a selection of his most emblematic titles. Kinoshita, who scripted most of his works, explored genres such as popular satire, family melodrama, and anti-war narratives, always with a sensitive gaze towards the vulnerable and complex female protagonists. Restored and digitized films like "Twenty-Four Eyes" (1954) and "The Ballad of Narayama" (1958) are being screened.
