L'arannà presents a contemporary revisit of the musical tradition of the Pityusic Islands. The duo, formed by Anna Sala and Lara Magrinyà, integrates synthesizers, keyboards, vocals, flute, castanets, and drums into an electronic folk proposal. Both met at ESMUC after training as classical pianists, a background they now apply to this project as part of the Sit Back series at L'Auditori in Barcelona. The band combines traditional acoustic instrumentation with current sound design.
The Planns tip
