The ethnographic exhibition 'Madagascar, living Malagasy' by Josep Blanch lands at Casal de Barri Bac de Roda in Poblenou. The work brings us closer to the nineteen ethnic groups inhabiting the island, a territory marked by a unique Afro-Asian culture. Through photography, discover landscapes, endemic flora like the baobab or the Chrysiridia madagascariensis butterfly, and the ancestral traditions of its inhabitants, such as funeral rites or the use of words of Asian origin. The exhibition highlights the uniqueness of Madagascar, separated from Africa 165 million years ago, which retains Asian traces in its population and rice fields. The work, coordinated by Josep Blanch himself, offers a detailed vision of this natural and cultural 'Noah's Ark'. Admission is free.
