Messiaen conceived his 'Quatuor pour la fin du temps' in the starkness of a prisoner-of-war camp. An eight-movement work for clarinet, violin, cello, and piano, it emerges as a brutal, inescapable sonic testimony. A reflection from the abyss. The night opens with 'Fyenske Billeder' by Hilda Sehested, a suite for trio (clarinet, cello, piano). Performed by Pedro Franco, Raúl Suárez, Charles-Antoine Archambault, and Marta Puig.
