At the Centre de les Arts Lliures, in Barcelona's Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera neighborhood, Álex Peña presents "Recreativos Federico". This project uses seven arcade and consumer machines to explore Federico García Lorca's work, transforming his literary legacy into a critical, playful, and poetic game. The installation riffs on titles like "La grúa de Bernarda Alba" and "Así que pasen 5 euros", recontextualizing the Granada-born poet.
The space, located at Carrer de Flassaders 40, becomes an interactive stage where humor, irony, and poetry intertwine. The soundtrack is by Pablo Peña and Darío del Moral, with contributions from Rocío Márquez and other artists. A chance to rediscover dramatic literature from a contemporary, playful angle.
