The venue

La Casa dels Entremesos-Centre de Producció i Difusió de Cultura Popular Tradicional de Barcelona
Living Archive of Catalan Traditional Festivals
Set within an 18th-century mansion, part of Palau Mercaders, La Casa dels Entremesos safeguards the pulse of Barcelona's traditional popular culture in the Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera neighborhood. Founded in 1439 to preserve festive imagery, today it’s a dynamic center permanently exhibiting a collection of giants, cabezudos, and bestiary. Beyond the display, this venue is a hub for meeting and production—a tangible link in transmitting the dances, music, and festive celebrations that define Ciutat Vella’s identity.
