Roger Bernat deconstructs Pina Bausch’s choreography in a free adaptation of The Rite of Spring. This work discards professional dancers, placing the audience as the sole protagonist and transforming the score recreated by Cristóbal Saavedra into a participatory experience. Following its run in Mexico City, the piece arrives in Barcelona to explore collective impulses through a structure refined since 2010.
The Planns tip
With no dancers on stage, the dynamics of the piece depend entirely on the audience's willingness to follow instructions.
