Sardana dancing at Casal Tarragoní

Traditional Sunday dancing in the open air.

CULTUREPOPULARDANCE
  • Casal Tarragoní

Traditional Catalan dance takes over the square for another installment of the Sardanes al Serrallo cycle. Music is provided by the Cobla La Principal de Tarragona, a local band that rotates with the Cobla Cossetània to organize these Sunday sessions. The square becomes a meeting point for dancers following the rhythm in the open air. The focus is the rotllana, where participants join hands to complete the steps of the sardana. The musicians lead the tempo from the center, cementing this as a core cultural fixture tied to the social fabric of the Casal Tarragoní.
