Open school playgrounds at Escola Seat

Located on Pg. Zona Franca, the Escola d'Aprenents SEAT is a cornerstone of Marina del Prat Vermell's industrial heritage. Designed by Manuel Barbero Rebolledo and Rafael de la Joya Castro between 1956 and 1957, this Rationalist-style building stands out with two angled volumes, each featuring a distinct roof: undulating for the former foundry, sawtooth for the school. Beyond its structure, the complex was vital for training SEAT's future workers from 1957, fueling Barcelona's post-war industrial and social growth. Its functionality and aesthetics tell the story of a legacy still thriving in the Sants-Montjuïc district.
