The 76th Sport Sardana Competition takes place at Mercat Gòtic Antiguitats, Plaça Nova, Avinguda de la Catedral 1, on Saturday, June 29th, at 11:00 AM, with free entry. This event, with almost a century of history, rewards the skill and synchronization of the sardana 'colles'. The coveted 'Gegant de la Ciutat' is awarded to groups demonstrating consecutive or alternating excellence. After the competition, the public can join a popular 'ballada'. Cobla La Principal del Llobregat will provide the soundtrack to this day of traditional Catalan dance in the heart of the Gothic Quarter.
