The Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès plays pop and rock anthems conducted by Albert Sampablo. The program covers compositions by Queen, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, ABBA, and Donna Summer adapted for a symphonic format. A local orchestra reinterprets these pop staples.
The Planns tip
The performance features six artists from different genres, so expect a setlist that swings from symphonic ballads to disco floor fillers.
The venue
Teatre-Auditori Emma Vilarasau
Not a grand Barcelona theatre, nor a marginal venue. Contemporary performance fifteen kilometres from Plaça Catalunya.
Opened in 1993 and renamed for the local actress, this venue pairs a large-format main hall with its own stagecraft workshop in the basement. Thirty percent of its audience crosses the Collserola mountain range from the metropolitan area seeking stable premieres.
