Tabalada and correfoc in La Verneda – Sant Martí

Fire and percussion in the heart of Sant Martí

POPULARFESTIVE
  • Plaça de la Palmera de Sant Martí

The lighting of the beasts sets the pace for the district's Festa Major. The day begins with the persistent sound of the tabalada, a percussion parade that warms up the atmosphere before the Diables de la Verneda take control of the route. Fire is the central axis of this gathering, connecting Plaça de la Palmera with Rambla Guipúscoa, Carrer Selva de Mar, and Parc de Sant Martí. The La Palmera Residents Association organizes this display of popular culture, integrating music and pyrotechnics into the public square. It is an event of controlled intensity where fire figures parade through the neighborhood's key points during a night of collective celebration.

The Planns tip

The route starts at Plaça de la Palmera, but it is better to follow the group toward Parc de Sant Martí to see the figures in motion.
