A conversation with Anaïs Franquesa, criminal lawyer and founder of the Irídia Center for Human Rights Defense. The meeting will take place at Biblioteca Les Roquetes – Rafa Juncadella, in the Roquetes neighborhood, on Tuesday, January 19th at 6:30 PM. It will cover how to use law as a tool against repression, torture, and abuse of power, and how to cultivate an imagination that serves us against legal bureaucracy. Prior registration is required.
Franquesa, with fifteen years of experience as a criminal lawyer, has led Irídia for a decade, an organization that denounces practices of repression, police abuse, and discrimination. Outside her professional activity, she finds refuge in writing to understand reality and devise strategies for change.
