Fundació Tàpies joins Pere Portabella's centenary program with an exhibition revisiting the friendship between the filmmaker and Antoni Tàpies. A bond forged during early Francoism, extending until the painter's death in 2012, and beyond. The project explores this connection as a core to understand broader cultural networks, proposing a model for building political communities. Here, critique and dissent transform, and heterogeneity stands as an articulating principle. A look at alliances between art and politics, across diverse languages, curated by Institut de Derives Crítiques, with an expanded team of theorists and curators.
