Camisseria Bonet
Viennese Modernism: a legacy on La Rambla.
In the vibrant heart of Ciutat Vella, at C Rambla 72, stands the old Camisseria Bonet, a relic of late 19th-century bourgeois Barcelona. Founded in 1890, this establishment was a benchmark for elegant tailoring, importing fashion trends from London and Paris for a select clientele opposite the Gran Teatre del Liceu. Its façade, a jewel of Viennese Modernism (Secessionsstil), retains its original mahogany wood cladding and hammered metal sheet signs with floral details, preserving its period aesthetic. Though its commercial activity has evolved, Camisseria Bonet's exterior structure remains a valuable architectural testament to a splendid past in the Barri Gòtic.
