THE VENUE
Conceived for the 2004 Universal Forum of Cultures, Parc del Fòrum redefined Barcelona's northern coastline. Designed by Elías Torres and José Antonio Martínez Lapeña, it's not a traditional park but a multifunctional esplanade marked by architectural landmarks. Highlights include the Herzog & de Meuron Fòrum Building, now home to the Museu de Ciències Naturals, and the imposing photovoltaic canopy, a symbol of sustainable vision. Host to festivals like Primavera Sound and Cruïlla, it's a major hub for large-scale events and a key player in Sant Martí's urban transformation.
