Forn Sarret: Modernism bakes tradition in l'Eixample.

In Dreta de l'Eixample, Forn Sarret stands at Carrer de Girona 73, an establishment documented since 1882. This bakery, a notable exponent of Barcelona modernism, retains the original craftsmanship of its marquetry doors and the sinuous lines of its exterior carpentry—hallmarks of the era. A ceramic medallion, depicting the allegory of the harvest, presides over its facade between the doors. Cataloged as historical heritage, inside, the rotating stone oven continues to bake artisan bread, preserving a legacy that intertwines historical architecture with traditional baking.
