Plaça del Pati in Valls hosts "Where Are the Chestnuts? (or the Snails' Rebellion)", a family-friendly, interactive theatre show celebrating the arrival of La Castanyada. This year, an incident jeopardizes the festivities: the chestnuts have vanished. Maria Castanyera, Gat Marrameu, Gegant Castanyer, and Bruixa del Moniato accuse each other of the theft. The plot unfolds amid accusations and hidden motives as the characters try to solve the mystery so the celebration can go on. The activity is part of Programa.cat, an initiative by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Diputacions.
