Where to Find Refuge: Photography and Queer Subjectivities at Can Basté

Portraits of intimacy and queer ecologies

ALTERNATIVEINTIMATEPHOTOGRAPHY
FREEEspai Fotogràfic Can Basté

The exhibition "Where to Find Refuge" at Espai Fotogràfic Can Basté, located in Turó de la Peira, explores intimacy and vulnerability using 19th-century photographic techniques. Images, crafted on glass plates and transformed into orotones, build a neoclassical imaginary where queer subjects take center stage. The project engages with queer ecologies and María Zambrano's poetic reason, proposing nature as a territory of belonging and shelter. The photographs aim to be a space for encounter, a place to inhabit and be inhabited. Free entry.
