The Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB), designed by Josep Lluís Mateo and opened in 2004 for the Fòrum Universal de les Cultures, stands in Diagonal Mar. Its contemporary architecture, prioritizing natural light, and versatility make it a European benchmark for international events. Connected to the Auditori Fòrum by Herzog & De Meuron, it forms an approx. 100,000 m² complex in the dynamic 22@ district. Its unique design and location place it on the Inventory of Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.
