The Zurich Barcelona Marathon reaches its 48th edition in 2027, solidifying its status as a major international race. The Barcelona course is now the third fastest in history, ideal for elite athletes and everyday runners seeking personal bests. The city comes alive with 47 points of entertainment and thousands cheering every kilometer, forging a unique atmosphere. In 2026, it hosted 32,000 runners, 63% of whom were international. The 42.195 km race starts at 8:30 AM on Passeig de Gràcia. Categories exist for participants with disabilities (wheelchair, visual, intellectual). Bib pickup and the ExpoSport event will take place on March 11, 12, and 13 at a location yet to be announced.
The Planns tip
The start on Passeig de Gràcia is prime for watching the initial surge; later, head to the Eixample area for a more local vibe.
